Talybont on Usk reaches 1GWh generation mark
Talybont on Usk Energy has reached the 1 Gigawatt hour generation mark - that's a million kWh in 5 or so years. That would be £218,000 in revenue from the Feed in Tariff at 2012 rates (N.B. - assuming all energy is exported; though the system isn't FIT registered - they were too early unfortunately).
Work has started at Stockport Hydro. The investment offer is still open - visit their site for more info. H2OPE - who set up the Stockport project - have announced £200,000 in share investment for pre-development work has been secured. They have also refined their business model.
Abingdon Hydro have received some good PR on BBC Oxford.
Whitby Esk Energy have raised nearly £125,000 in shares and the project will move to the next stage.
Sheffield Renewables' Jordan Dam project has made it to the final 10 in the Energyshare vote - and could receive a £100,000 if they win - register your support on the Energyshare website.
If you fancy a holiday in Scotland (and have an interest in hydropower) Eagle Brae has a 60kW system installed.
